Manage hubs

From the Administration dashboard(opens in a new tab), select a hub then click Hub settings to change its basic details (such as its name and description), the allocated backends, group shares, and administrators.

Change hub settings

You can do the following actions from the hub settings.

  • Edit the hub’s title and description
  • View backends
  • Edit groups
  • Add or remove hub administrators

To access hub settings, from the hub’s administration page, click Hub settings.

Change hub details

On the Hub Details tab, you can edit the hub title, name, or description.

Important

Do not include personal information in hub, group, or project details.

View backends

View systems and simulators on the Backends tab. Only backends that are added to the hub are available to groups associated with the hub.

Edit groups

You can add and remove groups or change the group’s share on the Groups sharing tab.

The group’s share influences how your jobs travel through the queue. This value is set when the group is created. It can be updated at any time on the Group shares page by clicking the edit icon for the appropriate group. A group administrator can also change it on the group settings page.

For more information about sharing, see the Fair-share queuing topic.

Note

If you remove a group or project, it is no longer listed on IBM Quantum™ Platform. As a result, users can no longer select any related instances on IBM Quantum Platform, and thus cannot view job data for those instances.

Add and remove hub administrators

Add or remove hub administrators on the Edit admins tab. To add an administrator, enter their email address, then click Add. The Add button remains inactive until an email address is specified.

You can view and remove collaborators from a hub, but you cannot add them directly to a hub. Collaborators must be added to projects.

Note

If you remove a collaborator from a project, they cannot select the instance in IBM Quantum Platform. Therefore, they can no longer access job data run on this instance.

View analytics

To view administrator analytics, from the hub’s administration page, click Analytics. On this page, you can view information such as the total usage, the number of completed jobs, and the average wait time in the queue.

You can customize what is shown by filtering by dates, instance, backend, and so on. For more details, see the View analytics topic.

Work with groups

To create a new group or work with existing groups, from the hub’s administration page, click Groups. For detailed instructions to work with your groups, see Manage groups.

View and remove people

To view all people that are part of this hub, from the hub’s administration page, click People. To remove an existing hub member, click the trash can by their name. To add people, navigate to the appropriate hub, group, or project settings. You can add administrators to hubs, groups, and projects, and you can add collaborators to projects.

You can also download a csv file of all users from this page.

Note

If you remove a collaborator from a project, they cannot select the instance in IBM Quantum Platform. Therefore, they can no longer access job data run on this instance.

View backends

To view all backends that are part of this hub, from the hub’s administration page, click Backends. Click a backend to see details such as its status and what it has been assigned to.

View results

To view all pending and completed jobs on this hub, from the hub’s administration page, click Results.

You can search for jobs in the lists, filter jobs by information such as the instance or collaborator, and sort the results by details such as status or run date. You can also download a .csv file of all completed jobs.

Refresh the list to see the most current data.
