RYGate

class RYGate(theta, label=None)

Bases: qiskit.circuit.gate.Gate

Single-qubit rotation about the Y axis.

Circuit symbol:

Matrix Representation:

RY(θ)=exp(iθ2Y)=(cosθ2sinθ2sinθ2cosθ2)\providecommand{\th}{\frac{\theta}{2}}\\\begin{split}RY(\theta) = exp(-i \th Y) = \begin{pmatrix} \cos{\th} & -\sin{\th} \\ \sin{\th} & \cos{\th} \end{pmatrix}\end{split}

Return a (multi-)controlled-RY gate.

Parameters

  • num_ctrl_qubits (int) – number of control qubits.
  • label (str or None) – An optional label for the gate [Default: None]
  • ctrl_state (int or str or None) – control state expressed as integer, string (e.g. ‘110’), or None. If None, use all 1s.

Returns

controlled version of this gate.
